Maker’s Mark is a small-batch bourbon whiskey produced in Loretto, Kentucky. It is bottled at 90 U.S. proof and sold in squarish bottles sealed with the iconic red wax. The distillery offers tours, and is part of the American Whiskey Trail and the Kentucky Bourbon Trail. As part of the tour, many areas are still considered a hazardous location do to the distilling process as well as the storage. Currently distilleries are stuck installing the rather ugly, large and bulky hazardous and explosion Proof fixtures. Makers Mark wanted to stand out and really install a decorative fixture that could look the part of an old distillery, but perform like the required Class I Division 1 & 2 fixtures needed through-out the facility. Having the fixture being LED was just a bonus for them.
THE SOLUTION: ARCUS oppry family with specialy designed copper hoodFIT OPRHL HIGH-EFFICIENCY LED
The idea of a decorative fixture for the hazardous market is non existent. To have something beautiful, at the same time functional would be a slam dunk. We received the design brief from the distillery, and we got to work. Due to the highly competitive and secretive nature of the distillery business, we were only allowed 1 photo of each before and after. Even with only these 2 you can see the difference and beauty of the finished product. We can provide any division and lumen out put from 4000-7000 with any type of decorative hood and mounting solution. Contact your Rep for more information.
